More from the baby shower/graduation party

August 18, 2010

The combo baby shower/graduation party was this past weekend. I had a lot of fun doing the decorative elements for the party. The mom to be/graduate has been craving root beer during her pregnancy so we decided to get bottles of root beer and relabel them. I added the nutritional facts to the label, but of course I had to change them. The new % Daily Value included values of parenting such as: Intelligence – 100%, Love – 100%, Jen (the mom-to-be) – 50%, Graham (the dad-to-be) – 50%,  Humor – 40%, Sleep – 0%.

The favors were glassine envelopes filled with skittles (a mom-to-be request). I made the labels for them to go with the rest of the them of the party.

I made a paper banner to hang outside to tie in all the colors, I found a paper with graduation hats on it which went great with the theme. I also made a few of the flags with some rub ons I had stashed away, that were some super cute trees and owls (the dad to be works for the government in agriculture and the mom to be is a researcher at an aquarium, so both would appreciate the nature element).

The decorations came out great and the party was alot of fun! Congrats Jen and Graham!
