Snow day

When we moved to Texas 2 months ago I never thought I would say the words “snow day”. But schools are closed and kids are playing in the snow outside my window. We didn’t get a lot of snow, just a dusting. The area we live in got between 1-4 inches. But for someone who has never lived where it has snowed, its been fun. And now that it has snowed the temperatures are rising, its suppose to be above freezing today (finally!).

Our dogs have never seen snow, neither has Fiona. This morning before all the humans were awake I let the dogs out. Our big dog Pico thought it was great.

Our other dog Tibi, observed the cold, fluffy white stuff from the safety of the house.

Fiona remains undecided.

We are headed back out to play, so I’m sure there will be more snow day photos. Who knew it snowed in Austin!

Petalworks

Dear blog, I haven’t forgotten you. I’ve just been buried with presentation work and haven’t had the chance to update you.

A couple of weeks ago I helped out the lovely April from Petalworks design some postcards and business cards for an event that she was a vendor at.

Petalworks was one of the many vendors at I Thee Wed Austin a bridal event/fashion show that was held last week. I tagged along to see April at work (and get out of the house and be surrounded by adults).

Here are some of her amazing creations for the event.

The tables were gorgeous, and the flower arrangements were beautiful. 7 years ago I was lucky enough to have April do the flowers for my wedding and now I consider my self lucky to be her friend. Great job April! To book Petalworks for events go to http://www.petalworks.com
